American videogame publisher and developer EA has recently said that the biggest online virtual world; Second Life created by Linden Lab is an adult product that involves many adult content that isn’t appropriate for children.
Comparing its life simulation genre game The Sims, EA said at the Second life is pretty similar to the Sims where the players build characters (avatars), sell and purchase properties, and interact with their online friends like we do in real life.
EA officials commented that the Second Life however is a pretty nice platform for all the gamers but some unusual adult content makes it inappropriate for the juveniles.
However, the game is an adult product and the players of age group of 18 and below are not supposed to play the game because of its correlation with adult industry.
The intense intrusion of adult industry is polluting Linden’s creative Second Life that will certainly loose its popularity with the passage of time. However, everyone is familiar with its adult content but escalating adult industry intrusion will spoil the creative environment of virtual world.
