Sex games specialists Republik Games announced today that due to financial crunch it can't complete the production of the anticipated sex game Spend the Night.

Republik had previously raised an undisclosed sum in two funding rounds along with production of the erotic adventure game.
Robert Coshland, CEO, Republik Games said;
The past few weeks have been a rollercoaster for the company. We had a single day record of 1.8 million hits on our website, we're being included in a documentary on the future of video games, and we have over 100 people join our mailing list everyday. Unfortunately game development is expensive and attention doesn't translate into operational funds. Republik Games intends to focus on raising new capital. It's not just an incredible product-it's a solid business proposition and we have the research, the materials, and the numbers to back it up.
Well, if you didn't know yet, in Spend the Night players meet in online social lounges, check out for willing partners, pick up and go to private virtual quarters for a 'jolly good time'.
So whether the game will eventually see the light of the day is a big question. But, having said that I would rather put my money into the game finally being produced and released. After all, only dumb investors would stay away from funding the game that has generated so much interest. It is definitely going to be a viable project.
