Luxury more often than not comes at a price! So if you’ve had enough of lame-ass charging solutions for Wiimote then Sanyo promises a change… at a price (did I say that already?). Its new charger makes possible contactless charging for Wiimote and removes several of the hassles involved. The wonder new charging pack ‘Contactless Charger Set for the Wii Remote Control' debuts in Japan on 25th August. This charger replaces the original back of the Wiimote and provides a stand to charge the same when done playing. Put the Wiimote into its special bed and crank up the battery to full in 220 minutes – it is that simple. Sanyo has delivered this solution in collaboration with Nintendo so it is quite the official deal. The device works on the tried and tested eneloop cells and draws power through magnetic induction. These stands can also be connected together and can juice up to four remotes at a time of one power plug. Japanese will pay about 5,550 yen for the basic set and the four sets together will cost about 20,500 yen. A pricey solution indeed!
