The Straits Times, Reuters, local paper reported the sale of BioWare’s much anticipated role-playing game for XBox 360 Mass Effect has been banned in Singapore. The country’s Media Development Authority has issued this decree based on the fact that the game has contained a scene with an alien female and a human women romantically entwined.
According to the report, Mass Effect is the first Microsoft published video game to be banned in Singapore. Singapore is the only country to have banned the game so far. While gamers have protested the action and they believe that it is unnecessarily harsh to them. Last year, Singapore’s Media Development Authority has also banned God of War 2 and The Darkness.
