Immersion Corporation sued Sony couple of years ago for $91 million for violation of Immersion's patents by Sony that it applied in PS2's Dual Shock controllers. Immersion claimed that Sony was using their patented force-feedback technology in their devices without paying any royalty. But after a long session of conflicts the two have settled down the issue.

Now the relationships have become sweeter as both have agreed to work on new deal on vibration capabilities.

Both have stepped into a new business arrangement with leaving behind their entire past courtyard contentions. Immersion CEO Victor Viegas expressing his happiness said that they are pleased to have put this litigation behind us and they will cooperatively work on new business agreement so as to enable advanced vibration capability for the benefit of the PlayStation gaming community.

Sony would have been feeling relaxed as it has finally got the force-feedback issue settled down and now it can rethink of SIXAXIS controller with both motion-sensing and rumble technology that would certainly be a new experience.
