We had been hankering after the ‘PS3 controller’s rumble control’ from the very first day of the E3 Expo, and got hold on it as the curtains were about to fall. Talking to Kotaku, a Sony Computer Entertainment employee confirmed that the SIXAXIS is getting back its rumble control.

However, a rumor of ‘rumble feature coming to PS3 controller this September’ also surfaced at E3, but Sony denied it altogether. Perhaps Sony was not very sure about it that time, hence refuted.

Also, the rumble-patent holding company ‘Immersion’ gave a green light to the PS3 rumble control for this September at E3, but Sony looked tightlipped at the matter making no announcement in this regard.

Finally, Sony has broken the ice by approving rumble controls to the SIXAXIS.

Earlier when PS3 was released, its controller used to support rumble control, but a lawsuit filed against it by the patent-holding company forced Sony to remove the feature.
