The swords were drawn between Sony and Nyko. Despite arguing, projecting SIXAXIS as the way of the future and treating rumble as outdated in the present context, Sony launched DualShock 3 while chewing its own words. It’s now very much clear that PS3 users have been hanging around for a controller that rumbles. As was anticipated, the Western release of Sony’s DualShock 3 controller has been eclipsed by accessory maker Nyko’s Zero PS3. Nyko’s hurried launching of its product just 15 days before Sony’s DualShock 3 release has paid rich dividends. As a matter of fact, the Zero PS3 isn’t perhaps as stylish as Sony’s controller, but Zero has wireless connectivity, rumble gaming, backlit LED buttons, and a battery pack that provides up to 25 hours of gaming time.

Apart from that, the controller works at up to 30 feet away from the PS3 and its available in three colors: black, white and silver. Another reason being Nyko’s Zero wireless controller is on hand online for $60 (£30/€45), where Sony’s DualShock 3 is estimated to cost about $5 more. The customers demand quality as well as affordable products and after all, what’s there in name?
