Sony Ericson dares to brave the storm as it has a ‘gaming concentric mobile-phone’ in the works that replicates Nintendo Wii’s ‘motion-sensing’ concept. However, it’s just a rumor up till now, but planned for a Q1 release, unnamed phone will be a fully fledged handset/gaming hybrid much like Nokia’s N-Gage.
The basis of rumor is the quote of exec Izumi Kawanishi for Sony Computer Entertainment, who in an interview with IGN, alleged that the PSP could replace your cell-phones in near future. Hence, official’s perplexing words are a sufficient hint to point-out Sony’s new endeavor in gaming division.
As per reputed wireless magazine, Mobile Entertainment, Sony Ericson has currently the project in the works and will get it done by February 2008. Moreover, the magazine reveals some ground-breaking technicalities like motion-sensing feature for Wii-like gameplay and a games-oriented user interface.
If you remember Sony Ericsson’s the ‘S500i’ phone that allows you to change music tracks by shaking it, then you would definitely say the developer isn’t breaking any new ground by developing a gaming phone enriched with this feature.
As the new gaming phone is rumored to be in works presently, hopefully, it would live up to the expectations of gamers as it meets its so-called Feb ‘08 launch.
