Sony has priced PS3 rightly: Ubisoft CEO

Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft looks pretty outspoken, so has left his remarks on PS3 price saying Sony has priced the console rightly. Let’s have a look what Yves has to say:

yves a 52
yves a 52

[Sony has] sold a machine that is actually expensive to build at the right price for consumers. It's just that if we want more consumers, we'll have to have a price that will make more people come in.

While talking to Gamesindustry.biz, Yves shared his thoughts and alleged that PS3 contains quite complex formation and costs too high for Sony, thus has priced it rightly. Though, Sony would have been feeling a bit relaxed as there, talking in their favor, but also strongly exemplifies an escalating demands for price cut.

As interviewers asked about the possibilities of PS3 price-cut, the CEO says that it’s always there and Sony is contemplating it very gravely and maybe you can see a low-priced PS3, around this holiday season. While advocating the idea of price cut, he added that they want as many consoles sold as possible, because this would not only push the sales of console but titles (from Ubisoft), as well.

No doubt, some of the people might be opposing Yves’ words, but what the whole discourse points is a PS3 price-cut that’s hanging around the corner, which Sony tends to bring this winter.
