Sony looks quite ambitious about the gaming market after submitting a latest launch in next-gen array i.e. PS3. As per reports; Sony is headed for emerging download market with providing its digital video-download services. The service will come into existence in 2007. The service will sell video downloadable content over to PC platforms and then through the content will be transferable through memory sticks or cards onto both PSPs and PS3s.

The potential move into the video game market is a replica of the service provided by the Microsoft that came into action from Nov. 22nd 2006. Microsoft provides the HD downloadable content from Microsoft's online service XBL.
With providing downloadable service Sony has knocked Microsoft at nose. Until now Microsoft was the sole contender in video-download market but with the emergence of Sony as the rival would significantly affect the sales of Microsoft.
Sony launched PSP two years back by the end of 2004 and few months the sales of console started dropping but recently with the launch of PS3 console is has regained the heights of trade and now with the accumulation of new services to the veteran console would significantly boost the sale of PSP.
