Sony Corp. is known for its expensive Blu-ray and its hefty pricing player. But taking a bold move, sny has announced to bring the cheaper Blu-ray players by this Summer.

Current Blu-ray player is superior but a bit costly replacement to the DVDs. The current Blu-ray player BDP-S1 costs $1000 that will be replaced by new influx named BDP-S300 costing just $599.

Cheaper HD DVD is still a headache for Son as Toshiba's HD DVD still costs a bit lower i.e. $499 that indicates that Sony still needs a quite considerable slash back in player's cost so as to go head to head with Toshiba.

I am taking the matter in details because actively or passively the matter is concerned with cost issue of Sony's next-gen console' PS3 that presently is the most expensive console out of all three.

Lowering the price of Blu-ray will certainly solve Sony's PS3 price hack issue and hence making PS3 a pretty cost-effective console.

High price is the only barrier that chocks down PS3's hardware sales and Microsoft's Xbox360 is taking the advantage of its high price as it costs far less than PS3.

Besides, Sony has revealed European game prices. The list includes both first as well as third party launch line-up.

Pricing will be set at €59.99 (£39.99, AUD 99.95) for the first party games including Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man.

Additionally BlastFactor, flOw, Super Rub a Dub, and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection will be made available for a suggestive price range from €2.99 to €9.99 on the Playstation Network.
