Sony launches PS3 wireless keypad at Leipzig conference

The ongoing Games conference at Leipzig seems to be churning out a number of gaming peripherals and yesterday, I was already wondering if so many gaming accessories were required. However, Sony today launched an interesting wireless keypad that can attach itself to the top of a PS3 controller and features the 'touchpad mode'. The device would be released in 8 languages and a mode that turns the key area into a touchpad, with which you could control an onscreen cursor with your fingers. With two short-cut buttons you have access to XMB's 'Friends' icon and of course the 'Message Box'. The pad can be used along with Bluetooth and would be released in November.
