Offering some more peanuts on European PS3 launch day, Sony has announced to cut down the price of PS3. What Sony doing is replacing the existing chips with new chip that will improve PS2 graphics instead of handling both graphics as well as computing as current chips do.

European PS3 launch is nearing and Sony is trying to make its launch occasion more and more happening. But to bring down the price at the rate of sacrificing existing properties, looks a big gimmick to me.
European gamers are already suffering from option crisis like there will be no 20GB version available in UK and now (however cheaper) PS3 with substandard interior will add a little more in European gamers' agony.
However, this is still undercover that how much price reduction Sony is offering with degrading PS3's hardware properties.
Another negotiation? Oh no....! Poor European gamers.........!
