Sony is aiming at swelling the number of PLAYSTATION 3 models introducing a version with a larger 80 gigabyte hard drive. It requested a "Class II permissive change" to include Bluetooth antenna in PLAYSTATION 3, to the US Federal Communications Commission. The new PS 3 model (CECHE01) with an 80GB hard disk- an odd additional SKU- was listed as a supplementary addition to the original FCC grant dated March 2, 2007. The “A” in the original 60GB’s model number of CECHA01 is set to be replaced with an E, making it CECHE01. Hence, Sony is enabling your PS3’s HDD with a different larger capacity system with downloadable content, game patches, games, music, videos, and all that other fanatical bits and pieces. Far from being considered an update or upgrade, it’ll definitely provide you with novel Bluetooth functionality and enhanced range. Unluckily, there’s still no wild guess on pricing for the picky system.
