Sony pulls newly released PS3 firmware

Taylor FlattJul 1 2008

After the highly acclaimed and very highly hyped PS3 2.40 Firmware was released, Sony has had so many complaints they decided to pull the product from download. Instead of it being the most recent available Firmware download, the newest is Firmware 2.36. With all the problems, Sony has made a good decision as to pulling it to prevent widespread problems and complaints. It might be a few more weeks before Sony is able to assess the problems and work things out and possibly re-upload the new data. Seems Sony's luck hasn't been going all that great lately. But this does certainly seem to be Sony's game. Nothing is ever perfect to begin with. Oh well, at least a month or two down the road they will eventually get it right.
