According to the Inquirer, Sony will maintain its stated belief that consoles should be good for at least a decade. Sony will continue to sell the 5-year old PlayStation 2 with backwards compatibility so that the utility factor remains.

However, the Inquirer rightly points out that in about a couple of years the graphics of PSP will be ‘heavily outdated’.

It also says;

Graphic chips are supposed to master photo realistic rendering in next five to ten years we doubt a Playstation 3 will be able to cope with it. We will update the story in 2009 and possibly again in 2015 to let you know what actually happened and whether Sony keeps its promises. By 2016, expect your TV to talk to you and to travel to the office on some kind of Segway. Obviously your car will fly.
We have to agree to this. It is simply wishful thing that what is new today will be relevant in ten years, especially electronic gadgets. What are you thinking Sony?

Thanks the Inquirer
