Yashpal SharmaNov 1 2006

November has started today and rage between the gaming console developers has been torched up. November is being so many titles as well as new consoles to the gaming market that I some times get so confused that I have to go back to date back pages to recall the launch date of the consoles.

Businessweek.com has got a quite long script over the Sony's capability to captivate its fanboys that seems quite gimmicky to me. The site has described beautifully, no doubt, the five salient features of the game developer Sony that are sufficient for any of the reader to get mold. But it finds sweating job in my case, Right?

Business.com says that the brand name is enough for the gamers to go for PS2 or3. The two things described here are quite convincing; Blu-ray capability and free online service. But one thing here missing is price thing that has been lowered from 59800yen to 47,600 yen that is a quite significant matter for Sony, bearing a loss of approx. 100$ per console.

Now here are few reasons that can come out as the limitations for Sony:

Sony has announced its silver version of PS2 that also seems lill bit tricky to entrap the gamers going for PS3 instead of PS2.Sony has given almost same get up to the PS2 console.

Sony Faces PS3 Production Crisis during the last year of this year. However Sony is herself pointing towards the Blu-ray technology for the shortage of the consoles.

Sony has been entangled in some lawsuits filed against Lik-Sang diverting its attention from the upcoming launch. However everybody knows that the case has been settled down with an imposition of ban on Lik-Sang online services as well as European shipment of consoles. But ultimately Sony is hauling itself into hot water by doing such kinda job.

If we talk about the financial status of Sony that too is not satisfactory. For the present financial year that is going to be ended on 31st of March next year, has bagged a heavy financial loss of $1.7Billion that is twice to that of estimated.

Sony has reduced the price of PS3 consoles from 59800yen to 47,600 yen but only for Japanese market and even offering too much to the home-market Sony hasn't got a satisfactory repose from the home land. However PS3 launch is also due for US too even then it has annoyed its US fanbys by offering no offer to them.

Lastly taking PS3 energy efficiency, PS3 consumes double energy i.e. 380W than Xbox360 that is only 160 watts.

What would you like to say after going through all these accounts?? Still you think Sony is the top seed even overtaking Nintendo???
