Namco Bandai has confirmed that Xbox Live Arcade will see Soul Calibur this summer. Folks at Namco have also set any speculation to rest by confirming that the game will be based on the Dreamcast version rather than the much poorer arcade one. However, there will be no major additions or subtractions and the upgrades will only be in terms of HD visuals and online leaderboards. There are virtually no chances of online multiplayer as the announcement specifically mentions 'local two-player battles.' In other words, expect Soul Calibur on XBLA in all its original glory this summer. This will come in close proximity to the release of Soul Calibur 4 on July 29 on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
