Gaming giants Activision have confirmed that Spider-Man: Web of Shadows is in fact under development from Shaba Games and Treyarch. Set in a free-roaming, open-ended New York, the game will feature web slinging with customizable superpowers and will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii and PC. The game will feature traditional combo attacks on the ground along with a new vertical combat system. The latest Spidey adventure will let players choose the side of Spidey’s personality they want to portray, whether it be the anti-hero bad boy or the friendlier superhero. Although Activision are keeping mum about the kind of opposition that Spiderman will be pitted against in the new game, we expect the villains to be something like a nasty alien/robot/mutant kind of a thing with powers equivalent to our fav hero. No word on release for the time being, so you just have a few early screenshots to drool over till then.
