In news that will hardly surprise the masses, Will Wright, creator of The Sims and upcoming Spore has revealed in an interview that Spore will be heading the Wii in time as well as the DS title. Talking on the competition, he also said,
The PS3 and the Xbox 360 feel like better versions of the last, but pretty much the same game with incremental improvement but the Wii feels like a major jump-not that the graphics are more powerful, but that it hits a completely different demographic.
Will’s past attempts in gaming have been nothing but gold, with his Simcity and The Sims franchises being easily accessible to people in all walks of life. It’s no wonder that so many eyes are on him and his upcoming project.
What is Spore?
Spore is currently one of the most highly anticipated video games. It takes you through the evolution of a species of your own creation, beginning at the multicellular level, becoming more complex and evolved until it becomes a land creature, then developing enough intelligence to use tools and weapons and build cities. Eventually your creations can take to space and populate other planets, interacting with the organisms other players have created. How cool is that!
True, I don’t have a Wii, but I’m glad to see some Will Wright news. The Sims series kept me completely engrossed and I still know of adults who swear by Sims.
For all you Spore lovers, Spore is slated for a definite release.
