Everyone was thinking that Square Enix is currently engaged in development work of Crisis Core, but Famitsu doesn’t think so as the latest issue of magazine reveals that the officials have put heads together to develop a FFVII remake for the PS3. The magazine reports that executive producer Yoshinori Kitase, producer Hideki Imaizumi, director Hajime Tabata, and character designer Tetsuya Nomura are currently contemplating Crisis Core and some other future iterations.
When being questioned about FFVII remake, Imaizumi answered that the remake of FFVII is a question of timing. “Presently, Kitase, Nomura, and Tabata are all busy with the Final Fantasy XIII series and new games would be announced at this year’s TGS”, he added.
However concluding the debate, he said that currently they have no plans to develop FFVII remake, simultaneously added that the decision in this regard could be taken any time in near future.
According to aforementioned words, the official neither denies nor gives a nod to FFVII remake, but keeping an optimistic approach, it would be better to say ‘glass is half-filled rather than half-empty’.
More info is likely to break out at this year’s TGS starting September 20th in Tokyo; hope, PS3 owners would be granted a favorable verdict.
