I would like to move your attention to the declaration made by Square Enix’s game/character designer Tetsuya Nomura over Japanese mag Famitsu who confirmed the new arrival in the Kingdom Hearts series is around the corner. In addition, he said that the new arrival would no be Kingdom Hearts III i.e. the new Disney venture is all new development.
Now if you have a look at the EGM’s “Rumor Mill” column, you’ll find the following wordings:
Seems Disney and publisher Square Enix wants to keep the Kingdom Hearts series beating — hell, no surprise there. But this may be one: My mousy mole tipped me off that the next KH game won’t be the third game in the series, but instead, it will be a spin-off that will appear on a hearty console. Don’t worry, though — KH3 will still happen...eventually.
Moreover, despite forecasting the spin-off for PS3 or Xbox360, the rumor advocates it for Nintendo Wii and DS.
EGM has rendered the subject matter more complicated. I would still bet for PS3 and Xbox360. What would you like to bet for?
