Although NCSoft confirmed the October 19th release of the Tabula Rasa game, things have changed a little bit. The release has been postponed by a couple of weeks. The NCSoft claims that this has been done in order to fix the last minute details in the game. During this period, the company expects to address various issues related to stability and balance in the game.

So, for all the gamers out there, if you are waiting for the game badly; just have to wait a little longer. From my personal computer gaming experience, I know that users like us keep on waiting anxiously for the ultimate edition to be released. Then a delay can kill the interest in the anxious fans. This is probably the last thing that a computer game company should do: delay the release of it's product.

The game's producer Starr Long recently said:

This short but critical amount of time will give us time to address several issues including stability and balance as well as allowing our players to test the continent of Ligo (L38+) and our major changes to crafting for a few weeks rather than a few days.

Once the game is released it will be sold in the market for $49.99. The collector's edition will have several in game extras. Along with the game, there will also be marketing products like dog tags, poster, survival guides as well as bonus maps. The first month of play is free. Successive months will have a recurring fee of $14.99. I guess this is another excuse for the kids to charge up daddy's credit cards.
