We all know about Itagaki leaving Tecmo, but did you think there would be as many as 3 dozen other members going with him? But if leaving the company isn’t bad enough, they are all filing class action lawsuits against the company for not paying them the bonuses they had promised. With no statement from the members leaving, we do have a statement from tecmo which goes like this;
Tecmo would like to assure its loyal fans that Team Ninja, known for its top-selling and critically acclaimed Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive franchises, is intact and, as a matter of fact, has several new projects already underway..
But of course, when you mean intact you mean with no one good left in your company? Very vague, which is always the stance of a company losing support and all their main contributers. Once all this goes down, I believe Tecmo will really be down for the count. As for all our favorite games, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Dead or Alive, will be nothing but a faint memory of what it was.
