Teen arrested for threatening game hater

Anti-gaming activist Jack Thompson was threatened to be brutalized and then killed by a sixteen year old gamer from Dubya's home state Texas. The bloke who threatened to kill Jack was arrested on Friday at his high school by the Harris Country Sheriff's Office.

Jack Thompson who is an attorney in Florida sent emails addressed to news outlets, politicians, and industry groups saying that

The specifics of the torture with which he was threatened are so grotesque that they cannot be properly placed in his news release. The torture was to end with the shooting of Thompson, as in this teen's favorite games.

The Sheriff's office confirmed that the boy has been charged with harassing communication, which is - what is known as a 'misdemeanor offence'. If he was a first time offender than he could end up serving a jail term of six months or a fine of $2000 can be imposed on him. However, if he has been convicted of a misdemeanor offence before, the jail term and fine can be doubled. However, it noted that in this case a sentence might be handled differently because of the boy's age.

Thompson's email tries to tie the threat to a general campaign against him on the part of the game industry that he loaths.
