Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has showcased its innovative PSP-290 with GPS receiver at TGS. To go on sale in Japan on December 7, the GPS reviver will retail for -6,000 ($51). The whole set up weights merely 0.56oz (aprox.16gms) holding dimensions 45mm x 41mm x 17mm.
Sony is preparing to connect the same accessories to the renowned console titles like Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Planetarium Creator Ohira Takayuki Kanshuu: Home Star Portable, etc. The built-in GPS with new navigation software will act as path-finder when you are on the road.
No words on US launch.
