Keeping the don’s legacy alive, Electronic Arts plans to release a sequel to its Godfather. The Godfather II will be released on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in February 2009. Hunter Smith, Executive Producer of The Godfather II, says that the new game will have expanded territory and mafia will operate in Cuba, Florida and NY. A new customized crew system will be the mainstay of the new title. Each member of the family will specialize in a particular act (demolitions, arson, engineering, first-aid etc.) and the player will act as the don of NY, sending these members on specific missions. The game will have an open-world and players would be free to explore. “The Don’s View” will allow players to oversee the entire world and build, defend and expand their crime rings. Previous title’s BlackHand control scheme is retained with some new elements of strategy introduced. Get close and do it clean is the mantra I guess!
