The Godfather videogame version of the legendary movie The Godfather based on Mario Puzo's novel by that same name is one of the most anticipated games this year.

The wait is coming to an end this Tuesday at last after a painfully prolonged wait for all the Godfather fans who can take part in the game and feel like a part of the saga.
Anyway, the developer of The Godfather Electronic Arts saw this as a blockbuster franchise when it acquired the rights and began developing the game - with the original star Marlon Brando completing voiceovers for his Don Corleone, Godfather character before his death.
EA, which is the world's largest video-games publisher has spent a reported $10 to $20 million to recreate the New York mafia world for games consoles and the PC and has already landed itself in a financial soup from delays to the game.
Actually, due to the delays EA's shares fell nearly 5% last July resulting in a depletion of more than $800 million from the company's value, after it warned of a delay that would make the product miss the big end-of-year holiday season. And it did!
So taking the loss EA had to sustain for The Godfather, it sums up to over USD 810 to 810 million.
That's an astronomical loss folks.
