Nintendo fans were afraid that just like PlayStation 2 owners they will not be able to play import games on the GameCube. All you need to turn your Japanese GameCube into a universal system, is an hour's work. That will require some neat soldering skills, a screwdriver kit, and $6 worth of parts.

So don't get disheartened if you bought the GameCube earlier this summer. A Japanese version. And then after sometime, you found out that its pretty tough to make head or tail out of the stuff. You should have waited patiently for the American version, but as they say- Its never too late.
