THQ has announced it will be bringing a new title to the market in 2009. They are set to release the UFC 2009 Undisputed, based upon the sport The Ultimate Fighting Challenge. You will be able to play over 80 characters from all over the world from all 5 weight classes. Also, an added bonus, there will be popular commentators, announcers, refs, trainers, Octagon girls, Octagon arena, and much more. Including all that, there will be online support for all the issues you may have along with DLC (Downloadable Content). There will also be a new engine included allowing the player to use martial arts from all over the planet to help them defeat their opponent. The game will be coming out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and mobile devices in spring 2009.
Here is what the THQ president had to say;
As the leading fighting videogame publisher(s), we feel the rising popularity of the UFC brand and its incredible mixed martial arts experience make UFC 2009 Undisputed the perfect addition to our expanding portfolio. UFC 2009 Undisputed is certain to be the most realistic fighting game to date, including advanced collision detection and AI systems that incorporate individual fighter styles.
Enough said, at least EA isn’t getting this game. That would be a sad day in hell if that happened. Let us all hope that THQ lives up to its promises and delivers a game we shall all not forget.
