THQ has announced its first original property- All Star Cheer Squad, dedicated exclusively to girls on Wii and Nintendo DS which is scheduled to debut this autumn. Portrayed as the first-ever cheerleading video game, THQ will avail services of the world-renowned cheerleading choreographer Tony G for Wii and Nintendo DS, best known for his work in the Bring It On movies, as the chief consultant to ensure the latest cheer action and top routines. Gorilla in Tampa, Florida is developing the squad. All Star Cheer Squad will transport the players into the arena of aggressive cheerleading while imparting excitement and exhilaration of cheer bundled with customization, style, cooperation and ingenuity. The players need to follow a cheerleader’s life for one year while discovering new cheers, generating their own routines, and participating in practices.

Ultimately, the participant will become captain. The game will make use of the Wii Balance Board controller, Wii Fit, Wii Remote and Nunchuk for executing a variety of real-world cheer and dance moves including high-energy game play - squad competitions and one-on-one cheer-offs.
Players will be free to adapt to the ways of their cheerleader and squad together with body, facial characteristics, hair and outfits. Just wait and see what THQ brings to us.
