For the fans of EA Canada’s Fight Night Round we have some great news. Electronic Arts has confirmed the release date for Fight Night Round 4. The game is now scheduled to hit retailers on June 30. To mark the occasion, EA has come out with a bunch of screenshots and a trailer, which talks up the game’s features while dissing its predecessor Fight Night Round 3. The trailer tries to promote this installment as a “realistic simulation” as opposed to Fight Night Round 3, which has been described as a “repetitive experience.” Brian Hayes, game’s producer explains:
What we’re really trying to deliver is the most realistic simulation of the sport of boxing ever in a video game....Fight Night Round 4, you see a much more fluid, natural game.
And natural game is what we all will look forward to. This time around, boxers will be allowed to get real close and trade a greater variety of blows, all thanks to a new physics engine. Just stream the trailer and you’ll see Hayes describe the game in great detail, and you’ll also get to see the host of illustrious names that promise a gameplay to rock your world.
