So you thought you know everything there is to know about Guitar Hero Greatest, oops Smash Hits? You better think again. A trailer has emerged that conceals the very thing it purports to deliver till the very last moment: release date. Yup, Guitar Hero Smash Hits has been officially dated. It will now go live on PS2, PS3, 360 and Wii on June 16, 2009. There you have it, a little note to add on top the list of 48 “greatest” Guitar Hero tunes that the game is supposed to bring, and that you have so meticulously prepared. Anyway, the trailer features a bunch of songs that you’ll be playing on the game. It also shows that this time around the only-guitar songs will be played with the backing of a full band. Activision has done a really nice job of mashing together elements of gameplay, as well as content, from all the Guitar Heroes till date. The trailer points out this, as also the fact that Guitar Hero Smash Hits will include the Music Studio song-creation and sharing mode, besides offline and online play modes for single and multiplayer modes. Ah, “I love Rock N’ Roll”!
