The Bigs – arcade-style baseball game, hello! – is coming out with its second installment this summer christened rather unimaginatively as The Bigs 2. 2K made a (big) announcement yesterday by naming Prince Fielder, son of the legendary power hitter Cecil Fielder, as cover athlete for The Bigs 2. The company has also released a bit of in-game footage for us to feast upon. Of course this translates into a bit of home run extravaganza, which Prince promises as the first baseman for the Milwaukee Brewers. In the video you’d also see Prince playing some defense; not that it is what he does best. 2K has also made the release date of The Bigs 2 definite and promised that the title will be out for PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, Wii, and PSP on July 7th. 2K has also released a screenshot (the only one till date) to mark the occasion.
