I would call it a big gimmick! A report confirms Red Steel II for Wii; just after a day, receives a denial. We posted earlier that Red Steel II is coming officially to the Wii sometime in 2008. In addition, the new opus was rumored to support online feature, but it seems Ubisoft has ruined our dreams as Red Steel II reports have ended up with a set of negative adjectives. Until an hour ago, the belief was that RS II for Wii was an official announcement, but we were being betrayed, earlier.
The new report across the net gives a confirmation of nonexistence of Red Steel sequel. Ubisoft has denied the Red steel II saying that the title isn’t in works, presently. The confirmation of RS II surfaced when Ubisoft at IDEF (Cannes), stated that the development of RS II is on the track.
As the developer has denied all the claims asserting that they have never given an official confirmation to the development of sequel, still we are still sticking our guns. I think, the developer is taking a bit longer to get the sequel done or wants to surprise everyone while revealing the title for the Wii at ‘E3 Expo,’ next month.
Just two weeks, and the cat will be out of bag at E3. Guys, don’t lose heart!
