Spoilt for choice is what the modern gamers really are. But with so much choice, decision-making becomes even more difficult. Multitude of controls and wires indeed represent a troublesome scenario. John Grayson, aka “Bacteria” has come up with a solution that makes it possible to use all the various platforms on a single console. His multi-platform universal console is a great device. This general purpose portable device is composed of controls and a screen, and is compatible with several of the original video game platforms. Various platforms like Nintendo N64, NES, Megadrive (Genesis), SMS, Amstrad GX4000, Jaguar, PlayStation, and GBA (GameBoy Advance) with TV output, are modded into cartridges, which slot into the system itself. Thereafter the games can be played on the portable Universal Console System, running on batteries. Bacteria has already modded N64 and posted detailed instructions for our benefit. He has promised to update the site as he continues to mod other video game systems. Till then visit the link and see his brilliant creation at work.
