The Nintendo fanboys were waiting out side the retailer stores to score a Wii console on Sunday. Few crazy guys like Isaiah Johnson who had been tenting outside the Toys ‘R’ Us in NYC for last one week and lastly his enthusiasm took him to score Wii very firstly in NYC. Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime distributed himself few Wiis to Nintendo fanboys like Johnson. The vista was not very different there outside Universal Studios EB Games in Los Angeles where company’s VP George Harrison was present among the thousands of fanboys to deliver the next-gen consoles to the gamers by hand.
The circumstances at launch day were a bit different to that of PS3’s in US as well as Japan where the entire crowd was mad to get their hands on console and ultimately the police had to come into action to control the wild crowd. However the officials didn’t let out about condoles transacted on the launch day but they informed that perhaps the gamers could have the shortage of component cables that are presently available for purchase on Nintendo’s online store that are currently obtainable for selected customers.
What ever you say, Nintendo is optimistic about its first day show and it says that the developer will be able to kick 1 million consoles till Dec. out of 4 million shipped-in and the same figures will tend to jump up to 2 million by Jan. next year. The developer is soon going to launch its Wii console in Japan on 2nd of Dec and on 8th of Dec. in Europe.
Back home launch schedule is still up to come and let’s see where the wind blows!!
