Dedicated to all the Half-Life II fanboys, out there! The next installment to the HL II comes with a mixture of good and bad news for the various console owners. Sharing the good news first, Xbox360 version of Half Life II: Episode II will be released in accordance with its programmed scheduled i.e. in the month of October, while the PS3 owners will have to wait a bit more, may be till 2008.

This is the second time the title launch has been delayed. Previously, the title was scheduled for launch sometime in Summer, this year, but due to unspecified reasons (may be development issue).
But I would suggest PS3 owners not to turn blue, because they will get more content and gameplay in Episode II, for sure.
In its game preview, IGN concludes with following words:
All that remains now is the long wait for October when Half-Life 2: Orange Box (hopefully) sees release on PC, PS3, and 360. But after spending a good amount of time playing Episode Two, it seems the wait will be well worth it.
But, responding immediately to the remarks made by IGN, Valve's Doug Lombardi replies:

I'm not sure why the IGN guys have that listed. Right now, we're targeting early October for release of the Orange box on all three platforms - PS3, PC, and 360.
Huh! Happy ending for the PS3 owners!
