Amid surroundings which are dark and hostile, the ninja turtles have to battle it out, ninja acrobatics and all, against an evil enemy that is threatening New York City, no not Shredder. The villainous Shredder has already been killed and the turtle siblings have since drifted apart. To defeat the new enemy, the four have to unite. Team leader Leonardo and the turtles’ master Splinter have to try every trick up their sleeve to bring about this unity.

Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft, had this to say:

Ubisoft is proud to be introducing everyone’s favorite Turtles to the next generation of video games. Ubisoft has worked closely with the creators at Imagi and Mirage to develop an immersive gaming experience that gives players a chance to expand the adventures in the film by submerging themselves in the sewers and scaling the rooftops of New York City in true ninja style.

The game features:tmnt3_2196

Pitched Ninja-style combats (read as Ninjitsu): As Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo you can make leaps and fight it out in true Ninjitsu style. And yes, if you are Michelangelo, you can yield the nunchako or as Raphael you can yield the Sai.

Specialized acrobatics: In true ‘filmi’ style you get to jump across and scale buildings, plunge into sewers and indulge in street chases.

Team up at specific locations: Where only team work can do the trick the turtles can meet and together get out of a difficult situation.

Enemies and bad guys galore: Line-up of the bad guys en route to victory include the Purple Dragon Street Gang, the notorious Foot Clan and many many more.

Nine mini games in the Wii version: The nine games have the four turtles armed with different weapons which can be used as and when the situation demands. In one of the games ‘Shooting Alley’, in a crime infested area, it is Leonardo and his weapon the Shuriken that will do the trick.

So then, waste no time. Pick up your ninjaken, sai, nunchaku, bo or whatever and run to the New York streets.
