Video game store owners plead guilty to Xbox tampering

Two celebrated co-owners of a Hollywood video game store that caters to celebrity clients pleaded guilty to have participated in a conspiracy to modify Xbox video game consoles to play pirated video games. Jason Jones and Jonathan Bryant, owners of ACME Game store were selling those consoles for anything between $225 to $500 USD.

Jason Jones pleaded guilty and Jonathan Bryant agreed to plead guilty to one crime count of conspiring to traffic in a technology that used to evade a copyright protection system.

Interestingly, Jones had said at the Electronic Entertainment Expo that he does not how to modify an Xbox console.
