Microsoft for long has been spearheading for a true PC gaming renaissance. And it seems Vista is going to be the vehicle that will bring it to the completion. Rich Wickham, the director of Windows games business says that PC segment's vision will be facilitated by Vista's new feature. The big thing about Vista is DirectX 10, an upgraded one will be released along with the new version and one can download it from the web.

When questioned about why Microsoft made it so long to get behind PC game with a system like Vista, Rich Wickham said they were busy focusing on Xbox and Xbox 360 as the gaming platform.
Rich Wickham feels that business model of online gaming is going to evolve and will change drastically over time. So, probably gone are the days of one game monthly subscription model.
