The speculations regarding Xbox360 price-drop are rising promptly since E3. Although, Microsoft has denied an immediate price-cut, still the rumors are rising rampantly around us. This time, a couple of images coming from retailer ‘Walmart’ confirms a $50 price-drop for the Xbox360 Premium console. Orange blurry images from the retailer hint a low-priced console ($349) will be out for sale sometime this August.

Just two days back, The Hollywood Report reported that Microsoft is slashing Xbox360’s price by $50 on August 8th, however, it turned out to be a hollow claim as Microsoft denied to comment on it. The picture quality is poor, but if one enlarges it, the words ‘roll-back’ appear above the newly listed price; still, the evidences are little to withstand.

Anyway, the hullabaloo certainly hints something for sure, because, we went through dozens of speculations before getting a PS3 price-drop at hand, hence it makes me believe that Microsoft has certainly a price-drop around the corner.

It would be interesting to see how a $50 price-cut will affect the sales of its own kin members i.e. Elite & Xbox360 core system and its neighboring rival, PS3.

Until the ad is revealed completely, the news will remain a rumor for having unsatisfactory picture quality. Perhaps, Microsoft is also realizing a price-drop, so hopes are high for the coming week.
