Mythic Entertainment (ME) has announced the title and first details for its latest MMORPG - Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (WAR) that is based on Games Workshop’s fantasy world - Warhammer.
IWAR features next-gen Realm vs. Realm (RvR) gameplay that integrates Player vs. Player (PvP) and Player vs. Enviornment (PvE) combat into a single seamless experience.
Mark Jacobs, President and CEO, ME said;
WAR is coming! We’re well into our first year of intensive design and development on the game that we believe will usher in the next generation of truly great MMO’s. With our expertise in RvR and a rich fantasy setting that is in a perpetual state of conflict, WAR promises to be a game unlike any other.
Anyway, the release of the game is scheduled in 2007 on the PC. Well, sounds exciting and new. What remains to be seen is that if it can put Warhammer at par with the blockbuster MMORPG the World of Warcraft.
