Warner Bros has confirmed that they are currently working on the videogame version of Wachowski brothers' (team behind well-accepted Matrix trilogy) upcoming movie Speed Racer for Nintendo's Wii and DS. The launch of Speed Racer's videogame version on Nintendo's Wii, DS, and Sony's PS2 will coincide with the movie release, next year.

According to Warner Bros, players will be able to take on the role of the characters from the movie, getting behind the wheels of each character's signature vehicles to experience the film's epic pragmatic, aggressive racing furor.
Placing you in the shoes of a young racing car driver, the storyline follows the life of a juvenile speed ardent, who chases his dream of becoming world famous in the sports with the help of his trusty modified Mach 5 car.
Most probably, the Wii and PS2 editions would be identical, featuring combat racing 'car-fu'. John Gaeta, special effects maestro is also working closely with developer Sidhe and Warner Bros. so as to ensure an infused aesthetic nexus between the game and the movie.
