The Vancouver Art Gallery would exhibit a plethora of videogames beginning on the 17th of May which would continue right till the first week of September. What is confusing here is the fact that it would be an art gallery with the essential focus on videogames. This notion could eventually sprawl two groups, customary ones of course, one comprising believers and the other non-believers.

How many of you believe that videogames are an art. The question leaves many in a no mans land, eventually confusing us all. I do have an answer in relevance with this gallery; the characters of a videogame are all animated and hence they could qualify as an art. Also, the theme of the Vancouver Art Gallery is the delirious world of anime, comics, videogames and art. Since videogames have been crammed into the theme, with the main head as art gallery, the acceptance in this case is comprehendible.
Talking on a regular basis, I personally won’t consider videogames as an art. If any of you happen to be around Vancouver during the above mentioned period, I would urge you to visit the gallery and define your experience. Maybe then you could initiate a change of opinion and convince me that videogames and art have something to do in common. Thinking what personal benefit you could derive by visiting the place, well it would be an interesting affair with famous names from the gimmick world devoting their time there and maybe they give you my answer as well.
