When guitars aren't compatible, ask Acitivision

When it comes down to games and their controllers, compatibility becomes a big problem . This controller might not go with that or the converse can also be true. Specially, with all the guitar controllers out in the market, you need to be sure that you have a controller that works with most music games or else, you can at least patch it up.

Two gaming companies are blaming each other for non compatibility of the controller and games. Activision and Harmonix are two major players in this big debate. Even though you might have Rock band and Guitar Hero III controllers in hand, you won't be able to use one guitar in other game. I wonder if the users of these games are frustrated over the compatibility problem.

But, hold on for a moment. The compatibility patch has been developed in order to resolve this issue. The compatibility patch has been submitted and approved by Sony and scheduled for release on December 4th, Tuesday. Apparently, Activision has a problem with the release of this patch and has objected the same. I don't see why Activision has a problem with a compatibility patch? Probably because they have a problem with cross compatible guitars?
