'Wii 2.0' - Possibly Mind Controllable?

Bradley WintJun 23 2008

Many magazines are now making predictions about a so-called 'Wii 2.0'. T3 magazine had recently posted an article predicting that the Wii 2.0 will use a “claw-like Wii head unit” which would be attached to your head to intercept and interpret brain waves. The concept that magazines draw up, is a system that can possibly dissolve the barrier between reality and virtual reality. The head piece's neuro-receptors are placed strategically to intercept brain waves. So you could think of a command and it will pick up the wave and then translate it into an action in game. The ear set will be so deeply entrenched into your ear canal, you would sometimes question whether you really are in your living room or in the game. The hand held wireless pointer will now become less of a functional tool since you can now use use your brain to control other commands. 2010 may be the year this 'mind controlled' device when this device is unveiled to the public.

So far, this is just a prediction, but with the sudden advancement in gaming technology, this could be a reality. Thinking of it is a bit frightening considering they could possibly tap into direct mind control. Who knows, maybe Wii controllers would eventually become non-existent. You would just sit in your chair thinking out commands, and it would happen in real time on the screen.
