The launch day came with pretty sympathetic atmosphere with no violence. When PS3 was launched on 11th Nov. in Japan, a disgusting show was seen there as the audience got furious. Sony filed an approx. transaction of 88,400 PS3 units in two days in Japan as it had promised to ship 400,000 but could afford just half the said.
Nintendo had shipped 400,000 Wii units for Japan launch day that wiped away in seconds. The buyer were enjoying the launch occasion with giving a heartily greetings on Saturday morning without creating any nuisance.
Wii, Nintendo's next-gen console that is left with just last one debut in Europe on 8th Dec. has a tough competition with both the nest0-gen consoles Xbox360 that was launched by Microsoft a year back and Sony's PS3, both wit HD graphics. Nintendo officials are more focusing on the gameplay rather than graphics. The officials says if the gameplay is enough dynamic, the graphics matters not at all. The innovative console however without HD graphics comes with motion sensitive controller that allows players to control the game by swinging the device like a tennis racket or wielding it like a sword.
The next big thing is price of Wii that is just 250$, quite lesser than rest of the two consoles in the market. The console is pretty economic to your pockets that you can score much more in just 250$.
Nintendo has also grabbed a huge lead in US and Canada with selling more than 600,000 Wii units within just eight days. Zelda is also leading the way in Canada. Few more drastic figures are still surface as Wii console debuts I n Europe on 8th Dec.
