Midway announced its new addition to Mortal Kombat series Mortal Kombat: Armageddon in August, 2006 onto Nintendo's new console; Wii. Wii is the only next-gen platform that the fighting genre MK:A is supporting, and two other platforms are PS2 and Xbox that will be supporting latest addition to MK series.
