Ready to spend some hard-earned Wii points? Even if you are not, you’ll probably change your mind after hearing what all’s on offer as Wii downloads this week. On WiiWare we have a puzzle game going by the name of Pop’Em Drop’Em SAMEGAME , while two classic TG-16 games: Bomberman ’94 and Detana!! TwinBee, are up for grabs on Virtual Console.
The Pop’Em Drop’Em SAMEGAME is all about matching blocks to clear them up. Clear as many as possible and you may end up being the high scorer. The puzzle game comes with a host of options to make gameplay interesting and there’s also a small matter of three multiplayer modes (Fame Game, Shame Game, and Blame Game) – supporting up to four players. Pop’Em (I ain’t writing the full thing again) costs 500 Wii points a pop.
As always I’m more interested in the offerings on Virtual Console; TurboGrafx16 titles this time around. And that’s probably more because Bomberman ’94 is my favorite iteration of the character till date. Clearly I don’t need to explain the game, right? But it would do well to know that this release pits up to five players in a deathmatch. The second offering is Detana!! TwinBee, a classic vertical shoot ‘em up! Both these titles are up for grabs at 700 Wii Points.
